1. Getting started

How do I join Wild4football?

Simply click the ‘Join’ button on any page and follow the registration procedure. Its quick, easy and free and we do NOT ask for unnecessary personal information. We will send you a confirmation email with a link. Clicking the link will confirm your registration.

You can log in at any time and activate your personal homepage.

How do I invite my friends to join Wild4football?

Once you have activated your homepage you have two ways you can invite your friends. One is to access the invite tool located in 'tell your friends’ section on your user homepage. The other is to create a website and invite friends to become members of the website. Both methods will send a user friendly email to your friends.

How do I upload content?

You must be a registered Wild4football member with an active account to add content to our site. See Using Wild4football.

2. Your Wild4football User Homepage

How do I activate my user homepage?

When you join Wild4football, we automatically create your personal homepage for you. Simply log in to your Wild4football account and follow the ‘My home’ link to your user page.

Once you have added the required details to your user homepage, you’ll be able to add comments on your personal message board, create and join websites, upload content and send and receive messages via our internal messaging centre.

How do I edit my Wild4football User Homepage?

Log in to Wild4football, go to your user homepage and select ‘update profile’ in the top menu. You can edit as many sections in your profile as you like. Your user homepage will be updated automatically and will be available next time you view your user homepage.

Can other members see my details?

You have control over who can access your user homepage. Click on the ‘account settings’ link and then access the ‘privacy’ tab. You can now decide whether to limit your user homepage to just your friends or allow all to view it.

Can other members see my private details?

NO. Your email address is not accessible to anyone but you. And that’s it. Only the personal details essential to the running of this site are requested. We do not even ask for your date of birth. We respect your privacy unlike other sites who request more personal details than needed to run the website!

3. Using Wild4football

How do I change my password?

You can change your password from your user homepage. Simply click the ‘account settings’ link. You will need to confirm your new password. It will also need to be a minimum of 8 characters in length. This is for security reasons.

How do I change my registered email address?

Follow the same process as changing your password. You cannot change your email address to one that has already been registered. It must be unique.

How do I add comments?

Wild4football provides many ways for you to interact with others. You can add comments to other user homepages you have access to by simply filling the available field in the comments wall and pressing the ‘add’ button.

You can also add comments to any website you have access to, whether you are a website member or not, by following the above procedure. And you can add comments to photos or forums within any websites you are a member of.

You also have access to your personal football journal that allows you to track your football career online.

How do I add friends and rivals?

Friends and rivals must be registered Wild4football members. Friends will share your view of the world whereas rivals, well… they probably won't, but you can have fun winding them up, anyway!

You can add a friend or rival by either searching for them and clicking the ‘add as friend’ link. Or by clicking the ‘add as friend’ link within their user homepage.

Your new friend will be notified of your friendly intentions and can accept or decline your invite.

How do I add friends to my personal football team?

Create a team of friends and display in the traditional 4-4-2 on your personal football pitch.

To do this simply click ‘update my line-up’ and then select your friends for each position from the drop down lists. Don’t forget to press the ‘update’ button once your finished.

When you go back to your user homepage you will see photos of your friends displayed in the 4-4-2 formation on your football pitch. Simply click them to access their user homepage.

How do I upload content?

You must be a registered Wild4football member to do this. To upload content simply access any website you are a member of and click the ‘upload a new photo’ link.

You can also change your user photo by clicking ‘update profile’ and accessing the photo tab.

How do I send a message to another member?

The easiest way to send a message is to simply add a comment to their comment wall on their user homepage. You can also interact with members through the forums of any websites you are both a member of.

If you wish to send a private message you can do this too via Wild4football’s internal messaging system. This works in the same way as conventional email.

4. Creating websites

Anyone can create a free football website packed with interactive features. No previous experience is required.

How do I create a FREE website?

You must be a Wild4football member to do this. Simply click ‘create a website’ link on your user homepage. This will start a user friendly wizard. Simply provide the required information and choose how you want your website to behave.

You can then upload a photo relating to the website and invite people to the website. You can invite fellow Wild4football members or use the email link to invite those not signed up to the website. You can also download a sheet of invitations for people whose E-mail address is unknown. They will need to sign up before they can become members of your website.

That’s it. Really simple and a great way for anyone to get their own FREE interactive football website.

How do I manage the website?

As the creator you are automatically assigned the status of website Chairman. You are the top dog of the website and have more permissions than anybody else.

Your first job, if you choose, is to appoint managers. You can have as many managers as you wish. They will have the same powers as you to run the site apart from one. The ability to hire and fire managers!

A chairman or managers job is to run the website responsibly so that your members can continue to enjoy it without the fear of idiots ruining it. You will be able to delete comment wall comments, photos, photo comments, forum topics or specific comments within a topic.

You will also be the only people who have the ability to addd news. This is the one place to inform your members of match reports, news, training sessions. Basically anything you deem necessary.

5. Using websites

How do I join a website?

If you are logged into Wild4football simply click the red 'join this website' button underneath the photo of the website you wish to join. An open or secret website will grant you instant membership. You will need to await the decision of the website administrators on any private websites you wish to join. They will notify you via your registered E-mail address.

If you are not yet a member of Wild4football simply click the green 'join' button at the top of the website and follow the instructions. Once you are registered and logged onto Wild4football, find your website and click the red 'join' button to join the website.

How do I upload photos?

You must be a registered Wild4football member to do this. To upload a photo simply click the ‘upload a new photo’ link. All members of the website will be able to comment on the photo.

How do I create a new forum topic?

Simply add the headline of the topic in the field provided and click the ‘create’ button.

All members can now contribute to your topic.

Why can't I add news?

Only managers and chairman of the website can access this feature.

Why can’t I click on forum topics or photos?

You have to be a member of the website to do this.

Can I contribute to the website if I am not a member?

Yes. You have full access to the websites comment wall. This is useful if opponents want to add their comments to the website of a rival team.

6. Search Wild4football

How do I search Wild4football?

Very easily! There's a search option at the top of every page – just enter the words or phrase that best describe the information you want to find and hit the 'Go' button.

How do I search for a website?

Click the search option at the top of the page and choose the website tab. Or click 'websites' in the top menu and use the 'find a website' feature.

How do I search for a team mate?

Click the search option at the top of the page and choose the team mate tab. Or click ‘update profile’ on your user homepage and access the ‘football career’ tab. You can search for current teams or teams you used to play for and Wild4football will list all members who played for that team.

How do I search for school or work colleagues?

Pretty much the same as searching for a team mate. You will find the relevant links in the ‘education’ and ‘work’ tabs within your ‘update profile’ settings.
